I am not sure you can find a on-demand antispyware for free, you can try Ad-Aware and run it depending on how much you are using your PC, I run it every 3 days. Get it from www.download.com

Probably Spyware Terminator

… make sure you only are using one from of virus protection…
im using AVG anti spyware, and i happened to get it for free…
AVG is, in my opinion, the best you are going to get for free
download these and you should be set, for the most part:
AVG anti spyware
AVG anti virus 7.5
Ad aware se personal
I think it’s Windows Defender
Note: There no best on demand anti-spyware protection
Almost without question the two best free on-demand antispyware are Superantispyware and Spyware Doctor Starter Edition:
Superantispyware: http://www.superantispyware.com/
Spyware Doctor Starter Edition: http://www.majorgeeks.com/Spyware_Doctor_-_Starter_Edition_d5790.html
The best free *real-time* antimalware protection is (IMO) Comodo’s BOClean:

AVG isn’t that good of an antivirus; but I wouldn’t recommend Norton either, as it is a bloated resource hog that *will* slow your system down. I personally use and recommend Avast antivirus.

Window Defender is one of the most highest rated antispyware product out there that is also free

But if you continue going to sites with spyware you’ll get infected no matter what antispyware protection you have
Get google desktop it notifies you if your visiting a know site that deliberately installs harm-full content on your PC
http://desktop.google.com/features.html
AVG is a good antispyware, but AVG antivirus can only detect 88% of omputer infections.
Norton is a high rated antivirus, it’s just not popular cuz it take a huge system resources.
Hope this answer ur questions.
yahoo online protection is good and free
won’t slow your pc down
If one sets Adaware and Spybot Search&Destroy to auto update and you use the Spybot S&D’s tea timer registry protector then you should be relatively safe.
This must be done with a clean system and please let spybot backup your registry for your referance and help later on.
As well please visit the forums at the creators sites to learn more .
There are many free programs out there but try to learn one at a time as having ten programs with no real ability to properly apply them is not helping you as much as you may think.
Only when we learn and share our knowledge can others learn and teach those who are in need of help.
I hope this can be of some help to you

I love Lavasoft’s Ad-aware program. They have both a pay version and a free version, I’ve been using the free version for years. You can get it at http://www.download.com or directly from Lavasoft’s website http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php
It’s not a bad idea to run more than one scanner because some pick up other ones, and for my secondary I use Spybot

Whatever you decide to go with, make sure you update and run it on a regular basis to make sure you’re protected.
Ad Aware, Spy bot – search and destroy,Spy ware Doctor are some good spy ware removers. check out http://blog.360.yahoo.com/blog-sAFtLsc8erIoh.ENhksr2KyG for more details.
