Question by kirbsmeister16: Is it a problem if you buy a 2010 version of Antivirus software, not the new 2011 version?
A one year licence Kapersky 2010 costs a lot less than the new 2011 version. Does the older version continue to get updates, or do companies discontinue them? Thanks

According to the Kaspersky web site (link below), you can buy the 2010 version (the only one available at the moment) and then upgrade free:
“Save $ 20 AND be the first to get a free upgrade to Kaspersky 2011 when we launch in August! ”
BTW, if you have a Mac in the house, they offer a 3PC version of their software with a FREE Mac install. This keeps the Mac from passing something bad to the PC’s.
