Which Antivirus Software is better for me Norton or Kaspersky Internet Security 2011?

Question by Player: Which Antivirus Software is better for me Norton or Kaspersky Internet Security 2011?
I currently have Norton Internet Security 2011 because it came with my computer for free. I have a Win7 Computer with 6GB of Ram. They are both the same price at the store right now. Which is better for me Norton or Kaspersky Internet Security 2011? What about Norton 360?

Please do not tell me to get the AV softwares, I just want to decide between these 2 softwares!
To add at the store I go to Norton 360, NIS and KIS are all the same prices so it’s all of which is better.

Question by R.I.P. Ryan Dunn: What is the best antivirus software for Windows 7?
I have tried using AVG 2011, but it’s a pain in the ass, and the user-interface is garbage. What’s the best Antivirus software in your opinion, I don’t care if it’s free or paid. Thanks

There are a few good antiviruses, both paid and free, and everyone has their own opinion. I personally find MSE the best free one, and NOD32 the best paid antivirus.

My computers task manager, windows defender, and antivirus software won’t work. How can I make it work?

Question by : My computers task manager, windows defender, and antivirus software won’t work. How can I make it work?
I found mighty magoo downloaded into my computer.i managed to delete that and another program whose file started with a c5 something or another that was screwing with my computer too. I believe that folder was the one that had internet 2011 antivirus software, which is a scam, and was causing popups on my computer. My firefox and internet explorer both ended up getting my web search, ask.com, and also some gala seach engine dowloaded to it. I tried blocking those but they still like to pop up. Google also thinks that I am from turkey, though I’m actually from the U.S. Task manager, microsoft security essentials, comodo, and windows defender have all stopped working. I tried ctrl, alt, delete, as well as the one with the esc button. I tried starting it manually and nothing. Also, I guess I should mention that the first website I try to enter into everytime whenever I use google search, the website, no matter what website it is, tries to redirect me to another page. I then hit back space and try it again and it works. So, the only program that I have available that still seems to work, and is actually of some use is windows optimum. I have tried shutting down all the processes with it but the same problem remains after shutting down all the programs I can with it. So, pretty much, I’m stuck. I can’t run antivirus/anti malware software, and I’ve been reduced to trying to look up .exe files one by one to see if they are the ones screwing with my computer. It’s getting nowhere fast. Anyone have a solution, keeping in mind that I can’t really run any antivirus/spyware/malware software, even after downloading it (such as comodo, which I tried.) Oh, also another symptom is that it affects other profiles as well. I tried making another profile, and I was just going to delete the current profile, but the symptoms occured on the other profile as well. I also tried running a virus checker off microsoft’s website, but it said it wan’t compatible with my current version of windows, even though it should be. I have windows 7 home premium with a 64 bit . Well, i’m out of ideas except finding each exe file on my computer and checing it one by one. Please, help.
I tried safe mode, but still, none of the virus/malware/spyware programs will work. Task manager still didn’t work too. Any other suggestions. Or at least where the program or problem that is causing this much distress may be located at? Since safe mode won’t allow me to run those problems, does that help me in anyway of pinpointing where the problem might be?

OK since you are able to download, but unable to use them then use them in safe mode. This is how to use safe mode.

You will want to scan your PC with both of these and it should clean out anything that should not be there.
