Have you updated your Anti Spyware lately?
If its not working, contact them or get yourself another product.
Is your Browser configured to reject Popups?

You have to get regular updates for your antispyware for it to be effective. Also some of the free ones do not offer the option of constant monitoring, so you need to do regular scans manually

Review by Gadget Shopping for Panda Titanium 2006 Antivirus + Antispyware Rating: I bought Panda Titanium 2006 after looking at several packages and settling on it because of its ability to block malware by more than an 'after the fact' signature.

Unfortunately, I have yet to find out how it works. I get a missing DLL message on install (I have now tried Titanium 2006 and their 2007 version as well). I assume that I may have something strange on my system, although it is a fairly regular XP Home install. I have no problems with the system that I can find using other tools and at this point I will be just dropping Panda and flushing my money because I don't have the time or patience to figure out what the idiotic problem might be or doing a reinstall on the off chance that that will fix the problem.

As a warning, my dealings with Panda tech support have been a joke, at best. I first emailed them and there was no response because I had not registered the product. It's hard to register when the software won't even install. I finally wandered around enough to find out how to register online. This allowed me to get a response which basically was a form that asked about the same information that I already provided on the initial contact email (how efficient??!?). Their initial fix was to tell me to uninstall all the other antivirus software on the machine. This was already done (as again outlined in the initial email and the email form). When this didn't make me go away, they had a few other useless suggestions that finally ended with the response that I had some sort of internet caching software that I would have to talk to my OS vendor or my ISP about. That is and was rediculous. I have no non-OS software for connecting to my DSL provider (just configured the Microsoft networking) and I don't believe that XP does that sort of thing out of the box. In other words, Panda support just keeps throwing dirt and dust in the air hoping that you'll finally go away. It finally worked with me.

I thought paying for a supported antivirus product was a good idea. I guess not. I'll just go with the free ones and keep my XP box off the internet.

I emailed several times (lost count how many) customer service asking for a refund, and technical support asking for help. The only response from customer service I got was that they'd forward my email to technical support!

The product isn't bad. I've used it for years, but whenever I've encountered a problem I've never gotten any help from them.

I also had trouble with wireless internet. The antivirus would block my internet access. I resolved the issue by installing a different antivirus (since Panda didn't offer a solution).

I love Lavasoft’s Ad-aware program. They have both a pay version and a free version, I’ve been using the free version for years. You can get it at http://www.download.com or directly from Lavasoft’s website http://www.lavasoft.com/products/ad_aware_free.php

It’s not a bad idea to run more than one scanner because some pick up other ones, and for my secondary I use Spybot

If one sets Adaware and Spybot Search&Destroy to auto update and you use the Spybot S&D’s tea timer registry protector then you should be relatively safe.
This must be done with a clean system and please let spybot backup your registry for your referance and help later on.
As well please visit the forums at the creators sites to learn more .
There are many free programs out there but try to learn one at a time as having ten programs with no real ability to properly apply them is not helping you as much as you may think.

Only when we learn and share our knowledge can others learn and teach those who are in need of help.

AVG is a good antispyware, but AVG antivirus can only detect 88% of omputer infections.

Norton is a high rated antivirus, it’s just not popular cuz it take a huge system resources.

im using AVG anti spyware, and i happened to get it for free…
AVG is, in my opinion, the best you are going to get for free
