Let me start off by saying the product performed as expected for the haters out there. My problem was more with the pricing due to the fact that under a month after purchasing the bitdefender internet security for $32.00, I found it on Amazaon for half the price I originally paid for it. Amazon credited me the difference and I was happily on my way.

I have always used Bitdefender Internet Security on my 2 pcs. Always worked great until the 2010 upgrade. My newer pc – Intel Dual Core 2.0 with XP Pro, has problems with the 2010 version. At least once a day, Bitdefender crashes and I get a message “Bitdefender Services not Responding”. Bitdefender has not been able to fix the problem or even figure out what causes it. The only way to fix the it is to reboot. My older laptop – also running XP Pro – has no problems.
I have given up on Bitdefender and am changing to AVG.

Though I would have preferred to stick with my GData anti-virus software, Bitdefender’s Internet Security is a good replacement. It installs quickly and is easy to use. As far as I can tell, it has kept my computer free from viruses. (Knock on wood.) The background scanning is especially nice because it doesn’t slow down my computer–a far cry from Norton anti-virus software. Bitdefender wasn’t expensive, but I feel I would have gotten more bang for my buck if I had gone with their total security software. Maybe I will once the license on this one runs out.

i bought this security program a few weeks ago and i think it works great. although i havent had any infections or viruses on my computer. it was very easy to install. i get updates every day or 2 from their site. its a very good internet security program to purchase.
